Accountant Kendra Wesson is running for the House District 46 seat, currently held by Democrat Representative Jacob Rosecrants. Wesson is a Republican businesswoman, who also has served on the Oklahoma State Republican Party budget board, as a State Committeewoman for the Cleveland County Republican Party and is the chapter leader for the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR).
“I’m running for House District 46 because I’ve seen the heart of our community – people who just want government officials to listen to them, to respond to their needs, and to work alongside them for a stronger, freer, and more prosperous future. A future that builds opportunities and doesn’t tear people down. A future that opens doors, not bars them. A future that opens to a world of opportunities, not disappointments. I’m listening. And I’ll work for you as your State Representative – with your heart and hopes in mind. Join me. I can help. With your vote let’s show Oklahoma we can!” said Wesson.
So far, Wesson and Rosecrants are the only two candidates who have notified the Oklahoma Ethics Commission they had formed a campaign for this race. Candidate filing is in April.
