Downing Appointed to Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals

First Assistant Attorney General Tim Downing has been appointed to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals by Governor Kevin Stitt. Downing will fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Trevor Pemberton last year.

“I am pleased to nominate Tim to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,” said Stitt. “Tim is a true public servant who I know will apply the law as written and serve Oklahomans well in this new role.”

Downing also serves as an Appellate Military Judge for the Oklahoma Military Court of Appeals. He also served as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma.

“I am thankful for the confidence the Governor placed in me for an appointment to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,” said Downing. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure Oklahomans always have a fair and impartial judiciary that upholds the rule of law.”
