Lankford Handily Wins Nomination for U.S. Senate

It appears Oklahoma Republicans are happy with the job U.S. Senator James Lankford is doing in Washington, D.C. They propelled him to the Republican nomination in Tuesday’s primary by defeating Jackson Lahmeyer and Joan Farr.

Lankford took in 67.83% of the vote on Tuesday. Lahmeyer had 26.38%. Farr received 5.79% of the vote.

Lankford will face the winner of the Democrat runoff between Madison Horn (37.18% of Democrat primary vote) and Jason Bollinger (16.78%).

Libertarian Kenneth Blevins and Independent Michael Delaney will be on the November General Election ballot for the Senate seat.
