Drummond Defeats O’Connor for Republican AG Nomination

Gentner Drummond defeated Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor for the Republican nomination for the AG’s Office. Drummond won with 50.88% to O’Connor’s 49.12% of the vote in Tuesday’s primary.

O’Connor was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt when former Attorney General Mike Hunter resigned.

By a slim margin, Hunter defeated Drummond for the Republican nomination four years ago.

Drummond will face Libertarian Lynda Steele in the November General Election. No Democrat filed for the Attorney General’s race.
