State Board of Ed Sets Rules for School Transgender Bathroom Law

The State Board of Education on Thursday adopted rules for the due process in checking school districts for their transgender bathroom policies as set in motion by Senate Bill 615.

Tulsa World’s Andrea Eger writes the implementation includes regional accreditation officers employed by the State Department of Education to check school districts for violations of the law. If they are found to be out of compliance, the district will be given notice and will have 15 days to request a hearing before the State Board of Education.
