Representative Mark McBride, the chairman of the House Appropriations and Budget Education Subcommittee, invited State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters to a hearing on Thursday to discuss claims Walters has made about issues within public schools.
NonDoc’s Bennett Brinkman writes McBride has yet to receive an answer from Walters if he will attend or not.
McBride says he has friendly intentions behind his request. He wants to give Walters the opportunity to explain his recent statements and support them with evidence.
