House Overrides, Stitt Sues

The final day of the special session ended with Governor Kevin Stitt filing a lawsuit to stop Senate Bill 26x and House Bill 1005x from going into effect.

The Oklahoma House Monday morning crossed the final hurdle to overriding the veto on SB 26x, the tobacco compact extension.

The Oklahoman’s Molly Young writes Stitt filed the lawsuit with the Oklahoma Supreme Court contending the Legislature bypassed his constitutional authority.
