Representative Daniel Pae has spent part of his summer working with legislators from other states and from Germany to develop recommendations on improving transatlantic relations. It did so through the Aspen Institute Germany’s Laboratories of Democracy Initiative.
The group of eight American legislators and eight German legislators crafted policy recommendations in three areas; economic, social, and environmental.
“I’m extremely proud of how our transatlantic cohort came together to develop this publication,” said Pae, who chairs the House Rural Development Committee. “The challenge for us now is to turn these ideas into reality. We must be proactive when addressing structural changes.”
