Lankford Continues to Push to Eliminate Government Shutdowns

With a funding deadline approaching for Congress, U.S. Senator James Lankford appeared on CNN This Morning to promote his bipartisan legislation to prevent government shutdowns. The “Prevent Government Shutdowns Act” would require Congress and staff to stay in Washington, D.C. until the spending bills are complete while an automatic continuing resolution would keep the federal government running.

During the interview, Lankford outlined the impacts that a government shutdown has on various aspects of services, like air traffic controller training in Oklahoma City and border security.
