Lankford Says Republicans Want Border Security as Part of National Security Budget

As a group of U.S. Senators from both parties try to hammer out the next National Security Budget, Republicans are considering holding out unless there is an agreement to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

As the lead Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management, U.S. Senator James Lankford is part of the negotiations.

He appeared on CBS News’ America Decides on Wednesday to outline what the Republicans want before they will agree to a funding package.
