Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond wants people with information about possible information about market manipulation during Winter Storm Uri to be able to reach his office with that information. To that end, the AG has a tipline on the Attorney General’s website (oag.ok.gov).
“I encourage anyone with information about entities that may have engaged in market manipulation or other illegal activity to provide details to my office by using the tipline,” Drummond said. “As attorney general, I am committed to holding accountable bad actors and to return what was taken from ratepayers.”
Drummond may take legal action against various entities he believes were responsible for soaring national gas prices during the 2021 winter storm.
Investigators are focused on information from people who either worked or had business dealings within the energy industry, not residential utility customers.
