OK Human Services Begins Direct Support Professionals Incentive Program

To keep up with the growing demand for workers, the Oklahoma Human Services has launched an incentive program to help recruit and retain Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide support and services to Oklahomans with developmental disabilities, the aging population, medically fragile individuals, and others.

The program is called DSP + and provides a $1,000 recruitment incentive for new DSPs, a $1,000 retention incentive for existing workers, and $1,000 retention incentive every six months through January 31, 2025. However, the provider agency and the DSP must be enrolled in the DPS + program.

The program will officially launch on February 1, 2024.
