AG Opinion Prompts Gatz Resignation as OTA Director, Transportation Secretary

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond on Wednesday issued a legal opinion that one person could not serve as the Oklahoma Transportation Secretary, the Director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and the director of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority simultaneously.

The Oklahoman’s Steve Lackmeyer writes that prompted Tim Gatz to resign as Transportation Secretary and OTA Director. Governor Kevin Stitt immediately reappointed Gatz as ODOT director.
