McCortney Named Legislator of the Year by Oklahoma Rifle Association

The Oklahoma Rifle Association (ORA) has given its Legislator of the Year award to Senator Majority Floor Leader Greg McCortney. He was recognized for his efforts to uphold the Second Amendment.

“The right to bear arms isn’t just about guns; it’s about preserving individual liberty and ensuring that our citizens can exercise their right to self-defense and protect their families and communities. I stand with the people of Oklahoma in defending this fundamental right and look forward to furthering legislative efforts with our partners at ORA to implement additional protections for our state’s firearm owners and organizations,” McCortney said.

McCortney recently presented the award at the annual ORA reception.

“I am honored and humbled to receive this award from the Oklahoma Rifle Association. This acknowledgment serves as a testament to our shared commitment to safeguarding Second Amendment rights and promoting responsible gun ownership and sportsmanship. As a staunch supporter of these principles, I pledge to continue working tirelessly alongside my legislative colleagues to uphold these values,” McCortney said.
