House Passes McCall/Treat Immigration Bill

The Oklahoma House approved House Bill 4156 by a margin of 77 to 20 setting the stage of the Senate to take on illegal immigration in the state.

House Speaker Charles McCall and Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat introduced the bill mid-session. It would create the crime of “impermissible occupation.”

Oklahoma Voice’s Barbara Hoberock writes Republicans said the law was necessary to protect public safety and blamed the lack of enforcement of federal laws on the Biden Administration.

House Democrats tried to offer amendments on Thursday, but they were quickly tabled.

It’s very interesting that the source of this story, Oklahoma Voice, supports DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice), which seeks to radically “enforce” the failed Marxist ideology of equal outcome. https://oklahomavoice.com/deij-policy/
