Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is proposing a settlement in a class action lawsuit against the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) for allegedly not providing services in a timely manner to people awaiting treatment to restore their competency to stand trial.
However, it is not getting the support of Governor Kevin Stitt and ODMHSAS’s new commissioner Allie Friesen, who was recently appointed to the position.
