Oklahoma City television station KFOR has filed in federal court for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction to gain access to the public State Board of Education meeting this week. The lawsuit is filed against State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters and press secretary Dan Isett.
KFOR has been escorted out of the board meeting room and placed in an overflow room during past meetings. The news channel has been denied entry to post meeting press conferences.
According to the story published on the TV station’s news website, KFOR has filed the lawsuit with the help of The Institute for Free Speech.
