Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is part of a 20 state attorneys general coalition supporting President-elect Donald Trump’s border security and immigration policies. Drummond is defending Oklahoma’s recently passed immigration law which would create a criminal ban on undocumented persons residing in the state. He’s also been a vocal supporter of increased border security.
“I look forward to seeing President Trump restore the rule of law in our country by securing the border and stopping the surge of illegal immigration that has resulted from the disastrous policies of the Biden Administration,” Drummond said. “Returning to President Trump’s immigration policies will create a safer Oklahoma and put our country back on track.”
The coalition is encouraging the incoming Trump Administration to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy.
“We will work with President Trump to secure the border, end failed Biden Administration immigration policies and effect the largest deportation in U.S. history,” Drummond and the coalition said in the letter. “We will stand with President Trump as he makes America safe again.”
Drummond joins the attorneys general from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and West Virginia in the letter of support.
