Stitt Announces Results of Operation Guardian Sweep

Governor Kevin Stitt announced that more than 125 undocumented immigrants were apprehended during Operation Guardian. It was joint operation between the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The Oklahoman’s Jessie Christopher Smith writes the targeted sweep took place along Interstate 40 in western Oklahoma.

In a release, Stitt’s office supplied a photograph of a New York State commercial driver’s license with “no name given” as the name on the ID.

Stitt says that the arrested undocumented immigrants came from India, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Mauritania.
