Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment Jeff Starling says his campaign has raised $1 million in the race for Oklahoma Attorney General, a total his team calls a record-setting pace for the office.
Starling’s campaign said he raised $600,000 in his first fundraising quarter, describing it as faster than any previous candidate in an Oklahoma Attorney General contest.
“Oklahomans are ready for an Attorney General who will fight for conservative values, not the establishment priorities of career politicians, or the self-serving objectives of those that use their elected positions to line their own pockets,” Starling said. “This campaign is about getting politics out of the AG’s office, defending taxpayers from fraud, waste and abuse, getting tough on drugs and violent crime, and standing up to China and other foreign criminal elements that threaten our economy, our security, and our freedoms.”
The campaign said the fundraising reflects support from grassroots conservatives, community leaders, and donors across the state who want what it described as stronger conservative leadership in the Attorney General’s office.
Starling is seeking the Republican nomination for Attorney General and has positioned himself as a political outsider with a background in law, energy, and business. His campaign said the financial momentum comes as the race heads into its final five months before the primary.
