A new Oklahoma-focused podcast is aiming to deliver insider perspectives on state politics and public affairs.
Oklahoma political and government affairs veterans Randy Swanson and John Cox have launched The Flyover State Podcast, now available on major platforms including Apple, Amazon and Spotify. The first episode features former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating, who reflects on the late President Ronald Reagan and the legacy he left on the Republican Party, the nation and Oklahoma.
“We’re very excited to unveil The Flyover State Podcast,” Cox said. Cox previously served as press secretary to Governor Keating during his two terms in office. “Randy and I have known each other for over 35 years through Oklahoma’s vast political circles, and I’m looking forward to joining him to bring a behind-the-scenes perspective to the stories we deliver. We hope Oklahomans will enjoy the presentations.”
Swanson said the two bring more than 75 years of combined experience in Oklahoma campaigns, government service and communications.
“While politics is our natural go-to, The Flyover State Podcast will discuss anything and everything Oklahoma,” Swanson said. “We look forward to sharing those stories.”
