Congressman Kevin Hern will be moving to the other side of the U.S. Capitol Rotunda soon. He defeated a upstart Democrat, a Libertarian and two independents.
Hern took in 57% of the vote to come out on top. (98% of precincts reporting)
Once the state of Oklahoma certifies the election, Hern will be sworn in to replace U.S. Senator Alan Armstorg, who Governor Kevin Stitt appointed when Markwayne Mullin resigned to take the role of U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. That will give Hern an edge in seniority when the rest of the 2026 U.S. Senate class is sworn into office in January.
