The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA) has hired Tina Korbe as Policy Impact Director.
For the past two years, Korbe worked in the political arena on a national level. She served as the associate editor of the conservative news and commentary website, HotAir.com,
In addition to HotAir, Korbe contributes commentary to a variety of Fox News and Fox Business programs, including “Hannity,” “Fox and Friends,” “Cavuto” and “The Willis Report,” as well as to a number of national radio programs.
“For the past two years, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to work to advance free-market ideals on a national level,” said Korbe. “But the more that I studied our system of government, the more I came to really understand and appreciate the genius of our Founders in designing a federalist system, where states have sovereignty over their own spheres of influence. So, I really wanted to be able to start to work to solve problems on a more local level, or, in this case, on the state level, and OCPA is the perfect place to do that. I’m really excited to be working with the staff here to try to create the best possible society for Oklahomans.”
As Policy Impact Director, Korbe will serve as spokesperson for the organization and provide policy analysis across multiple platforms to ensure citizens have access to the highest quality public policy ideas.
“OCPA’s vision is to elevate the public policy dialogue in Oklahoma, but also to elevate Oklahoma in the national public policy dialogue,” OCPA president Michael Carnuccio said. “Therefore, Tina Korbe is a perfect fit as our policy impact director. Her experience and her expertise combine to elevate this position, the organization and our state on a national level.”
Prior to HotAir.com, Korbe worked as a staff writer in the Center for Media and Public Policy at The Heritage Foundation.
Korbe graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a degree in journalism and a minor in Spanish. She lives in Edmond, where she will be married in September.
