Drummond Appeals Birth Certificate Gender Policy Decision to U.S. Supreme Court

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to take up a case that is challenging Oklahoma’s policy of recording and maintaining a person’s sex designation on birth certificates.

The Oklahoman’s Jordan Gerard writes Drummond is challenging a U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit decision that ruled Oklahoma’s approach is barred by the U.S. Constitution.
