Pemberton Appointed to Court of Civil Appeals

Governor Kevin Stitt has appointed Judge Trevor Pemberton to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. Pemberton was the Chief District Judge of the Oklahoma County Juvenile Division. He has served as a Special District Judge for Oklahoma County and before taking the bench was a private practice attorney.

“Judge Trevor Pemberton is a dedicated Oklahoman and proven legal mind who will serve our State and people well,” said Stitt. “I look forward to seeing his expertise, leadership and integrity on display as the newest judge on the Court of Civil Appeals.”

Pemberton was selected from three candidates submitted to the Governor by the Judicial Nominating Commission.

“I am humbled and honored that Governor Stitt sees fit to appoint me as a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,” said Pemberton. “God continues to bless and guide my career. As I have done during my time as a district court judge, I commit to a strict and even application of the law as written.”

Pemberton fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Larry Joplin.
