House Passes Biennial Vehicle Registration Bill

The Oklahoma House on Monday unanimously approved House Bill 2011 which gives drivers the option to register their vehicles every two years, instead of annually. Representative Dean Davis is the author of the bill.

“This will save time and effort for Oklahomans who choose the option of registering their vehicles biennially,” Davis said. “The licensing and vehicle registration process can be time-consuming, and this should create greater convenience. I’m glad my colleagues in the House saw the merits of this effort.”

If approved, HB 2011 would direct Service Oklahoma to create a procedure for the biennial registration option. If a vehicle owner decides to that that option, they would simply pay for both years.

HB 2011 is headed to the Senate.
