AFR Names Stephens, Wallace 2024 Legislative Advocates

AFR Cooperative has named Senator Blake Stephens and Representative Kevin Wallace as its 2024 Legislative Advocates. The award is presented to state leaders that advocate for policies and issues important to AFR, which stands for American Farmers and Ranchers.

“We applaud the leadership of all our legislators and their service to Oklahoma,” said AFR Cooperative President Scott Blubaugh. “But Sen. Blake Stephens and Rep. Kevin Wallace are two legislators who went above and beyond for rural Oklahoma in 2024 and we’re pleased to honor them with this award.”

Stephens worked on the lock the clock legislation on Daylight Savings Time and helped pass a new regulation requiring medical marijuana grows to have signage. He’s also a volunteer for the annual AFR Leadership Summit.

Wallace, who chairs the House Appropriations and Budget Committee, has championed increases in education and helped with rural Oklahoma priorities in the state budget. Wallace is an AFR member.
