Drummond Calls for Contempt Citations in St. Isidore Contract Case

The Oklahoma Statewide Charter School Board voted Tuesday to put off any action on the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual Charter School and to appeal a recent State Supreme Court Decision ordering the contract to be dissolved. That spurred Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond to file a request to the Oklahoma Supreme Court that if the Board continues to defy that order that a contempt citation be issued.

Tulsa World’s Andrea Eger writes that if the Court does grant Drummond’s request the board members could face up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
