Governor Kevin Stitt filled the final vacancy on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board by appointing M. Sean Malloy to the position. The Pardon and Parole Board was two members short after resignations took place in November. That temporarily delayed the clemency hearing for convicted murderer Kevin Underwood.
“Sean has served his state in multiple capacities in the public and private sectors. His dedication to service and his commitment to integrity have prepared him well to serve in this important role,” said Stitt.
Malloy has served as assistant district attorney for two counties. He’s also been an assistant attorney general for the State of Oklahoma.
“It is an honor to be appointed to this position. I look forward to serving my state in this capacity and ensuring every case is considered with fairness and accountability,” Malloy said.
Edward Konieczny and H. Calvin Prince III resigned last month.
Stitt appointed Susan Stava last weekend to fill one of the vacancies.
