Arnett Wants GOP Committee Hearing On TC Ryan, Brogdon’s Future

Republican activist and website operator David Arnett of Tulsa has sent an email to members of the Oklahoma Republican Party’s State Committee asking to be allowed to speak about the TC Ryan controversy and Arnett’s position that Chairman Randy Brogdon should be removed.

Exactly when the committee will meet is not known, but it likely will be later this month.

In his email, Arnett says he has been asked by the victim in Ryan’s domestic abuse case to speak for her.

Here is Arnett’s email:

OK Republican Activist “Katy’s” voice should be heard

Newly appointed political director of the State Party, T.C. Ryan issued a press release May 14, 2015 in regard to what he described as a “domestic altercation” in which he pleaded guilty to the charges of domestic violence and interfering with an emergency telephone call in 2012.

Ryan then met with attorney Corbin Brewster, son and employee of one of Oklahoma’s most visible attorneys, Clark O. Brewster a Democrat and frequent supporter of Leftist causes in an apparent attempt to silence Katy. That conversation was described by Katy in a public interview:
“He said, ‘I want to warn you that there is the possibility of litigation and lawsuits for defamation of character’… along those lines. I told him that I felt the only person whose character that had been defamed was mine.

Katy has asked me to be her public voice.  She respectfully calls to the State Committee’s specific attention that she did not speak publicly until after Ryan issued a press release and after she was contacted by the legal firm, but that Ryan has never apologized to her directly for his bad behavior.

I will stand to speak for her and do hereby request inclusion on the agenda at the next Oklahoma State Committee Meeting.

Katy asserts, “I don’t think TC is a person that emulates Republican values.”

And Arnett adds: “Thus, I will also answer any question(s) members may have on this incident or on my public position that Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman Randy Brogdon should be immediately removed from leadership of the party.”
