Lankford Raises Concerns American Content Being Silenced on Social Media

During this week’s U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, U.S. Senator James Lankford raised concerns that American content maybe silenced or severely limited by tech companies managing social media platforms. The hearing’s panel included executives from Alphabet (the parent company of Google), Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram), and Microsoft.

During Lankford’s Q&A with the panel, he pointed out comparisons between platforms in other countries when it comes to certain political content. It was then he raised about foreign influence on reaching the U.S. through social media platforms.
