The Associated Press reports that an Oklahoma County judge has set a Sept. 6 preliminary hearing on felony blackmail and computer crimes charges against the co-founder of the Sooner Tea Party.
Special Judge Susan Johnson set the date during a hearing Thursday for 54-year-old Al Gerhart. Gerhart was charged in April for allegedly sending an email intended to intimidate Republican Senator Cliff Branan of Oklahoma City, chairman of the Senate Energy Committee.
