Congressman Markwayne Mullin and his wife Christie have added to their family by adopting twin 2-year-old girls.
Mullin revealed the adoptions in his newsletter; his story was accompanied by this family photo.
Reporter Jerry Bohnen asked about the adoptions and received this statement: On August 21, my wife Christie and I officially became the adoptive parents of twin 2-year-old girls that resulted due to a family situation. With the finalization of the adoption, our family of five has grown to seven. We could not be happier. Our family prayed for God’s will and He opened our hearts to the idea of adoption. We were unsure about whether, at this time, we could handle the extra responsibility. But God’s timing is always perfect.
Some may say that we have blessed these girls by bringing them together and providing a family, but the truth is the twins have already blessed us far more. It has been a seamless transition for our three existing children to take on the responsibilities of big brothers and big sister. They have answered the call with love and kindness for their new siblings and these new relationships have enriched their lives. The new Mullin 7 look forward to all that life has to offer our family!”
They are beautiful little girls and they look like their big sister. What a lovely family you have! God bless you as you raise all these children.
What a cute family! Thank you for this inspiring example of LIFE and caring for others.
