Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC 4) expressed his support today for fellow Congressman and member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, James Lankford, in his race to succeed retiring Senator Tom Coburn.
“James is instantly recognizable as a man deeply committed to God, his family, and country,” Gowdy said.
“Serving on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee with James, I learned that he prioritizes government accountability as a legislator. His time on the Committee gave him critical investigative experience during the Obamacare rollout, the murder of four brave Americans in Benghazi, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, and “Fast and Furious.” James was not only a hardworking leader on our committee, but stood out as the most effective questioner. I confidently say this as someone who spent 16 years in a courtroom.”
Gowdy is also caving to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on ILLEGAL immigration.
