The Foundation for Economic Prosperity, in the news in the U. S. Senate primary campaign for its controversial television commercials critical of T. W. Shannon, is supporting Corporation Commissioner Patrice Douglas in the 5th District Republican runoff with Steve Russell.
A Federal Election Commission filing shows the foundation, headed by Oklahoma City consultant Trey Richardson of Sagac Public Affairs, has spent $50,000 in what are positive voter contact efforts on Douglas’ behalf with an Iowa firm:

The Foundation for Economic Prosperity, Inc. is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization incorporated on February 28, 2014 with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. The organization was established for the promotion of the social welfare and common good of the citizens of Oklahoma and other educational purposes.
“Our recent activities include broadcast television, cable and digital advertising supporting the issues of promoting economic growth, stopping Obamacare and protecting our Constitutional freedoms,” said Richardson during the Lankford-Shannon primary.
Richardson said the current effort is “pro-Douglas.”
The Foundation is governed by three board members, all of whom are Oklahoma residents. The board members are John (Trey) W. Richardson, III, Jeri Richardson and Joel Riter.
It’s about time for the mud fight to begin. I predict Patty will be slinging the most slim.
