In a Republican primary runoff for Senate District 41, Paul Blair today got a bi-partisan endorsement from Oklahoma County’s current and most recent District Attorneys. David Prater and Wes Lane announced their endorsement of Blair on Tuesday.
“Paul Blair is a friend and someone I have a great deal of respect for,” said Prater. “In a time when people are quick to compromise the tenets of their faith for the sake of political correctness, Paul is steadfast in his faith and lives consistent with his world view. Paul Blair’s courage, character and faithfulness impresses me. I know that Paul is a man of his word. I ask you to join me in supporting Paul Blair for the good of Edmond and all of Oklahoma.”
Former DA Lane contends Blair is the right man for the job.
“Paul Blair is the ‘Salt and Light’ we look for in true leaders,” said Lane. “At a time when our state is in financial disarray and families are concerned with the economy, federal government overreach, and the lack of values in leadership, the choice is clear. Paul Blair is the candidate who can be depended on to follow the proper role of government, follow the rule of law, and lead Oklahoma to success.”
Blair is facing fellow Republican Adam Pugh in the runoff election which will be held August 23. The winner will face Democrat Kevin McDonald and Libertarian Richard Prawdzienski in the November 8 General Election. The seat is open because Senator Clark Jolley was term limited.
This is awful fishy. And this is a non-endorsement. Prater is only saying Blair sticks to his own guns. Prater never mentions agreeing with Blair’s positions. I guess that was too much to shallow. Everyone is now asking the question of what is Prater getting for his endorsement.
Congratulations to Paul Blair! Another step closer. Good work!
Well if I lived in that District this would convince me to not vote for him!
Is Prater endorsing Sen. Loveless?
