GOP Raised $200,000 In 1st Quarter

Oklahoma Republican Party

The Oklahoma Republican Party today announced that it raised over $200,000 during the First Quarter of 2012. The money was raised from over 700 individual contributors. The haul is one of the strongest quarters on record for the Oklahoma Republican Party.

“I’m very pleased to announce our strong fundraising start to 2012,” said Chairman Matt Pinnell. “It is imperative we begin this election year in a strong financial position. The support is evidence that Oklahomans are fired up to make Barack Obama a one-term President and want to continue to elect Republicans here in Oklahoma.”

The OKGOP raised nearly $50,000 following President Obama’s visit to Oklahoma on March 22nd. “Oklahomans rightly felt insulted by the President visiting Oklahoma to promote part of a pipeline he is responsible for killing,” said Pinnell. “Oklahomans spoke loud and clear with their contributions following the President’s visit to Cushing: the failed Obama agenda is bad for Oklahoma.

“Given the outpouring of support following his visit, I would like to personally invite President Obama to visit Oklahoma at the end of each fundraising quarter,” concluded Pinnell.
