Gary Jones Endorses Faught

Congressional candidate George Faught announced today that Auditor & Inspector Gary Jones has endorsed him in the 2nd District Republican primary.

Jones, former Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman, said, “As a proud Oklahoma Republican, I am honored to endorse George Faught for Congress. George is the trusted and proven conservative in the 2nd District race. He has personally invested in growing the Republican Party throughout District 2, working at the grassroots level. When George goes to Washington he’ll continue to fight for our country the way he’s fought for Oklahoma at the State Capitol,” said Jones. “George has the backbone to stand and proudly represent Oklahoma values in Congress. He is truly a principled conservative. I urge Oklahomans from all across our state to support George. Let’s send a good man to be Oklahoma’s newest Republican Congressman to Washington this November!”

Gary Jones was a great chairman, and is the best auditor we’ve ever had. If Gary picks Faught, then he must be the man.

I like Gary Jones, but we definitely don’t agree on District 2. I would like to think that if Gary Jones lived in District 2 and had spent more time with the different candidates, he, too, would get behind someone else.

Personally, I think that Dustin Rowe is the best candidate for District 2 and I would urge District 2 voters to support Dustin. Let’s send the BEST man to be Oklahoma’s newest Republican Congressman to Washington.

I agree that Gary Jones was a great chairman is a great auditor, but I won’t be voting for Faught. We have some much better choices.

This will probably hurt Faught in the conservative center of the district, Rogers County. In Rogers County Gary Jones is a four-letter word.

I like Faught and would vote for if I was in District 2 but I think Gary Jones’ endorsement will end up hurting Faught’s campaign. Jones was very devisive as Chair and continues to be.

Gary Jones got almost 70% in Rogers County in 2010 primary and almost 60% in the general. hardly see how it would hurt, on the contrary, I’d say it’d help
