Lucas Honors NASA’s Hidden Figures During Gold Medal Ceremony

Congressman Frank Lucas took part in honoring the women known as NASA’s Hidden Figures. The group of women were crucial in helping to calculate the Apollo 11 mission to land the first man on the moon.

The Congressional Gold Medal’s were presented to the families of Katherine Johnson, Dr. Christine Darden, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson. A fifth medal was presented to all Hidden Figures who contributed to NASA’s success.
