Echols Lands More Legislative Endorsements

Jon Echols is receiving more support from his former legislative colleagues in his bid to be Oklahoma’s next Attorney General. One of the new endorsements is from House Appropriations and Budget Committee Chairman Trey Caldwell.

The campaign announced the list Wednesday, following a previous round of endorsements from lawmakers last week. The latest supporters include: Caldwell, House Majority Leader Mark Lawson, House Assistant Majority Whip Neil Hays, Representative Mike Osburn, Representative Tim Turner, Representative Jason Blair, and Senator Casey Murdoch.

“Jon Echols is the proven pro-Trump conservative running for Attorney General,” said campaign manager Isaac Hadam. “That is why he has such incredible support across the state with these legislators, over 30 sheriffs, the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police, the Professional Firefighters of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma City Retired Firefighters all publicly backing him.”

Echols has pledged to back law enforcement, protect constitutional liberties, and hold state agencies accountable for spending. He has also committed to working with the Trump Administration on issues such as fentanyl and illegal immigration.

Echols is facing Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment Jeff Starling for the Republican nomination.
