Pugh Receives Higher Education Distinguished Service Award

Oklahoma Senator Adam Pugh has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education with the Distinguished Service Award for his work on education policy.

The honor was presented during Higher Education Day at the State Capitol and highlights Pugh’s leadership as chairman of the Senate Education Committee.

Pugh has led efforts on teacher pay raises, early literacy reforms and workforce readiness initiatives, along with legislation impacting higher education policy.

Pugh says strengthening education at every level remains a top priority as the state works to prepare its future workforce.
