The Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector’s Office received the highest possible rating in an external peer review by the National State Auditors Association.
The review evaluated whether the office’s quality control system was designed to meet professional standards and whether the office complied with those standards.
“Yes, even the Auditor’s Office gets audited,” State Auditor Cindy Byrd said. “This review reflects the professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail that I expect from our entire staff.”
The office also will offer free Boot Camps for Board Members across Oklahoma beginning in October. The sessions are open to elected and appointed officials at all levels of government and focus on stewardship of taxpayer money.
