Berry Stepping Down as OMMA Director

Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Executive Director Adria Berry is stepping down to pursue new opportunities but will remain Governor Kevin Stitt’s secretary of licensing and regulation through the remainder of his term.

Stitt announced that Jason Yingling, OMMA’s deputy chief of compliance and enforcement, will serve as interim director for the remainder of the governor’s term.

Berry has led OMMA since 2021. Stitt appointed her secretary of licensing and regulation in 2025.

“Adria navigated a complex industry with grit and professionalism,” Stitt said. “She built a strong team at OMMA that carefully navigates the ins and outs of this industry, and she has a clear track record of results.”

Yingling has worked at OMMA since 2022. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he previously spent 13 years with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and six years with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

“Jason has worked tirelessly alongside Adria and the team at OMMA since 2022, bringing a background in law enforcement and public safety to the role,” Stitt said.

Yingling said he plans to continue Berry’s work at the agency.

“I look forward to continuing her work here, and I am grateful to Governor Stitt for trusting me with this role,” Yingling said.
