The two candidates for Mayor of Oklahoma City have filed their initial fundraising reports, with Senator David Holt raking in the most money by far.
With $140,557 in cash on hand, Holt has opened a wide lead over Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan, who reported having $33,774.34 in the bank.
Maughan entered the race February 22nd. Holt entered the race February 27th. The reports cover all fundraising activity through March 31st, which was the end of the first quarter of 2017.
Holt raised $142,841 in donations from 157 donors, while Maughan raised $40,425.67 in donations from 68 donors.
Notable donors to Maughan include Rep. Kevin Calvey and Oklahoma County Court Clerk Rick Warren.
Meanwhile, Holt reported contributions from several well-known Oklahoma City business and political leaders.
