U.S. Senator James Lankford is standing behind the effort to secure the U.S. southern border as part of a national security package. The U.S. Senate tried to pass a bill on Wednesday which did not include funding border security the way Senate Republicans want it. The bill failed.
Lankford appeared Thursday on Fox Business’ Kudlow to outline what Senate Republicans want. He listed fixes for asylum, border crossing management, and an end to “catch and release.”
Lankford is the lead Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management.
