GOP Runoff for State Superintendent Race

There will be a runoff among the two top Republicans in the race to be the next State Superintendent of Public Instruction to decide who will face the winner of the Democratic primary.

Robert Franklin and James Taylor are moving on from a seven-candidate field among Republicans. Franklin took 22.60% of the vote. Taylor received 19.68%.

The winner of the GOP runoff on August 25th will face Democrat Jennettie Marshall who defeated Craig McVay for the nomination. She had 57.69% of the vote to move to the General Election.
