Congressman Kevin Hern will have to wait until August to find out which Democrat he will face in the race for Oklahoma’s open U.S. Senate seat.
Hern took 69.76% of the vote in a five-person field to secure the Republican nomination.
There were also five candidates in the Democratic primary with N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas and Jim Priest moving to the runoff. Thomas had 45.18% of the vote. Priest took in 23.86%.
