Congressman Markwayne Mullin says he’ll seek reelection.
Tulsa World: Second District U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin has formally announced plans to seek re-election this year.
Mullin, a Westville Republican, is in his first term.
“I will never stand by and allow career politicians to win the fight,” Mullin said in a written statement.
“I am a citizen legislator and I will stand every day against the career politicians and the special interests bureaucrats who want to over-regulate our lives and rob us of our freedom.”
Darrel Robertson, a rancher and professional bass fisherman from Delaware County, has said he intends to challenge Mullin in the June Republican primary election.
The filing period for state and federal offices is Wednesday through Friday.
