Lankford Says $800,000 Raised For Senate Campaign

Lankford Senate Campaign

Families for James Lankford released top-line totals from the quarterly campaign finance report it will file next week with the Federal Election Commission.  The Lankford campaign will show an approximate $1.2 million raised and over $1 million of that cash on hand.

For this reporting period, Lankford raised over $800,000 with 82% of Lankford’s support coming from within the State of Oklahoma.

A campaign spokesman said the $1.2 million total includes $515,000 transferred from Lankford’s congressional campaign fund.

“I am truly grateful to receive the support from thousands of Oklahomans who have given from $1 dollar to the maximum $2,600 so early in this primary campaign.  The momentum is building daily as our volunteers and campaign team are working to reach Republican voters in all 77 counties. Conservative Oklahomans understand that Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats continue to divide America for political gain. The problems that we face as a nation will not be solved by yelling louder, they will be resolved when we put forward clear conservative solutions that the American people overwhelmingly support,” Lankford said.

Lankford is seeking the Republican nomination in the special election to fill the remainder of Dr. Tom Coburn’s term in the U.S. Senate after Coburn announced January 17, 2014 that he would seek to retire before the end of his second term.
