Douglas: Keystone XL Pipeline Delay Hurts Economy

Patrice Douglas today expressed her frustration and disappointment with the latest decision by the Obama Administration to further delay the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, which she said prevents Oklahoma families and Americans from getting back to work.

“President Obama has once again failed his test of leadership by deciding to play political games instead of approving a vital construction project that would result in thousands of new jobs, a much needed boost to our economy and help America strengthen our energy security. ” said Douglas, who seeks the Republican nomination for Congress in the 5th District.
“Moreover, it is clear to me that President Obama is sending the message that he cares more about appeasing his liberal donors and allies in Washington, than helping Oklahoma families and the millions of Americans looking for work. There is no logical reason to block this pipeline for even one more day.”
